Helpful, although the change in format was rather annoying. When you have a dozen comments coming from around the table about your work, and you are not allowed to speak until the end, it is hard to keep track of all the suggestions and criticisms once everyone is done. It feels rather strange when people are arguing with each other about the understanding and meaning of your work when a simple explanation from the author would clarify the situation. I understand the need for this change due to time constraints, but a modified version is needed. An example may be that the author can clarify three times (or three rebuttals) during the critique, and one at the end. Something along those lines.

Actually wonderful! new to the group and found myself inspired by the critique after my work was read aloud, learned more in 15 mins about my 5 pg story than years of doing it alone. Or in other lackluster groups which to be fair, I might just not have been a good fit for. Hope to learn, grow and utilize all the good stuff as I do have a goal: to BE PUBLISHED! thanks again, beer and convos afterward also fun! Hours later, I still have a desire to write, more than a buzz (no pun intended) I feel rejuvenated, I seem to have more confidence! Thanks and c u all next time, Pam.

I've already readone of EJ Thornton books on publishing, so I don't mind missing the 1:30 lecture at the writers summit. I'll see you all there.

I joined the group a really long time ago, but have yet to attend any meetings. Could I attend this critique session, pretty please?
