Next Thursday, February 23--Party + discussion

Dear Denver Book Club Member,

Please join us early next Thursday at the Denver Press Club for our annual holiday party.  Bring an hors d'oeuvre to contribute to the groaning board and plan to buy drinks at the bar.  Please also wrap a book you're ready to release from your shelves for our shared book exchange.

The fiction selection for our discussion next Thursday is The Art of Racing in the Rain by Garth Stein.  An easy read readily available at your local library or used book store, Racing in the Rain tells the story of a family in transition.  Narrated with humor and grace by the family dog, Enzo, I found the story compelling and insightful.  But mostly I just enjoyed it and hope you do, too.

We're planning to discuss the book from 7:30 - 8:30, after an hour of book exchanging and socializing. We may run a little late, so plan to park where you can stay 3 hours.

I'm looking forward to seeing you then.

Warm regards,

Josephine Jones
