My bad. Yes, THURSDAY!

Hi Judah...the meeting is on Thursday, correct?  I ask because you say it's tomorrow.  Was it just a typo?

Thanks!

Hi fellow book lovers! --

First, a very HUGE Thank You to Denver Book Club Meetup assistant organizer Charles for getting out the book club notices over the past month while I've been traveling around to promote my book. Charles, your willingness to help made a gigantic difference.

Second, the Denver Book Club as of today has 132 members, which makes us one of the largest Meetup groups in the region and among the largest groups in the nation.

Third, as of today, we have 19 members who have RSVP'd "yes" to ou r meetup tomorrow evening, and 11 members have said "maybe." A few have changed their "yes" to a "no" because they have not yet read this month's book, "The Abolition of Man" by CS Lewis.

You do not need to have read the book to come to the Meetup. The main purpose of the Meetup.com service is to help people with similar interests to meet one another. If you do not attend our gatherings, how can we meet you and discover the wonderful gifts you bring to our conversations? How else can you meet the rest of us? Who knows what new friendships you might miss if you do not come to our gathering?

Still for those of you who absolutely insist that you must be familiar with the book to come to our meetup, I'm about to remove all excuses. Ready? If you spend just ten minutes or more reading material at the websites below, you will be more than ready to join in our dialogue about the key ideas in this provocative little essay by CS Lewis.

So, now you have no excuse not to join us this month (barring work or a dire family emergency). Whether you click the RSVP button at the website or not, please join us Thursday evening, June 28, 7PM, at the Denver Press Club, 1330 Glenarm Place, the small building across the street from the massive Denver Athletic Club.

See you then!
