We're all set for a great discussion this Thursday evening of When You Are Engulfed in Flames
by David Sedaris. As ever, you do not need to read all or any of the book to join us and enjoy what surely will be a lively conversation. Remember that our primary goal is meeting one another and making new friends. We are meeting in a different location this month only
, however, because the Denver Press Club has scheduled a paying event in the upstairs room and there are too many of us this month to fit downstairs
The good news is that the Press club arranged for us to use the 10th flour lounge at the Denver Newspaper Agency building shared by the Rocky Mountain News and The Denver Post. This is just a few blocks north of the Press Club downtown, and there are parking lots nearby. We were there last October, for those of you who attended.
Here are the details:
PLEASE ARRIVE AT 6:45 (building doors lock at 7:00)
We will be escorted as a group to the 10th floor.
If you will be late, or if you think you might be late, please email me now to make arrangements for admission to this secure building with tightly restricted access. Please recognize that one of the reporters is taking time away from work to escort us upstairs at 7 PM, so your timely arrival is appreciated.
Denver Newspaper Agency
101 W. Colfax
One block west of Broadway facing Civic Center Park.
Use either Lobby entrance (Cleveland Place on the west or Cheyenne Place on the east.)
PARKING: I suggest using the big parking lot one block west on 15th Street and Court Place, yet there are others nearby. If you click on the Google map link below and then click on "satellite" view, you'll find everything easily.
Vending machines are available on the 10th floor, yet if you want to bring any munchies or beverages (to share or just for yourself), that would be great.
Please contact me through our website if you have any questions about anything.
