Change the lead time on book polls?

Last night's meeting was one of the best discussions we've ever enjoyed. People jumped in right away and kept the conversational ball rolling briskly without any prompting. (Sure made my job easy as the moderator.) The meeting proves to me the value of having you members vote on which books your want to read.

This morning, one of you sent an email proposing a change in our voting procedure.

The member wrote, "Could we possibly close polls on books two or three months in advance? Since so many of us are using the library system, it takes awhile to get a copy of the book, and some of us are slow readers."

I can see merits in the suggestion. Such a policy change would mean extra work for the organizers, at first, but between Cindy and I, we could make it work, and the longer lead time would then become routine.

So, please go to this poll section of the site (link below) to state your preference. Which ever option gets the most votes will be our policy.
