The Denver Book Club is NOT a venue for promoting new book titles or author events.
The book club has so many members because we are a commercial free zone (and because of our great discussions). We never allow promotional messages at meetings or by email. This ban covers new books, author talks, freebie offers, event invitations, everything.
We never read new books. We only read and discuss books available for free or low cost at libraries and used book stores.
You cannot suggest books. All of the books discussed are nominated and voted upon by the active Denver-area book club members. The club organizers only facilitate this democratic process; they do not control it or influence it. They cannot help you. They will not help you.
So, please do NOT send any marketing pitches of any kind to our book club organizers.
Actually, if you do send a pitch, our organizers will notice that you failed to respect our boundaries. They will see that you seemed to think our rules don't apply to you. They will be unhappy that you have given them more work to do by replying to you. They will sigh and roll their eyes. They will send you back to our home page to click the link to this message, which you ignored before. All you saw was 900 members, right?
