Subversion: Embrase your command line and ditch the client

If you are tired of your subversion client being a complete hog and killing your machine then Monday's meeting is for you. We will be reviewing how to ditch your Subversion client for the command line interface. It does not matter if you use a Mac or a PC since the commands are the same. We will cover everything from some basic checkouts and commits to dealing with dreaded conflicts.

If you are new to source control in general we can also go review how to setup your repositories and even some branching schemas.

We are trying out a new location this month. We will be meeting at Forest Room 5 in one of their back rooms. They have food and drink that you can purchase while attending. Yes booze while at a meeting!

Thanks to all that came out last night. The new venue rocks and I think we will be meeting there for the foreseeable future. The slide deck for last night's presentation can be found at:

It was an excellent overview and lesson on what subversion is, what the common jargon is and how to get started with it.
