After switching up organizers earlier in the year, we're back! And we're excited to share that over 50 new members have joined the group since then!
Our first meetup back is scheduled for Monday, August 27, 2012 and is going to be a double header! Members showed interest in both our "Introduction to Git/Github" and "Introduction to Apache Subversion (SVN)" meetup topics, so we decided to combine them into one night.
Each presentation should last 30-45 minutes, so the event is scheduled to start at 7PM and end before 8:30PM. We're hoping that by covering both systems, the meeting can end with a comparison of the two revision control systems during the Q&A. And after the presentation, anyone interested is invited to a nearby restaurant for further discussion and networking over food and/or beer.
We are currently in talks with several venues for the first meetup, and the info will be posted asap.
We have starting planning and scheduling future meetups:
We are still looking into venue locations, speakers and volunteers:
Do you know of a venue that could be interested in hosting one of our future meetups? Or are you interested in getting involved? Please contact DenverLAMP and let us know about it!
Enjoy your summer!
