Hi Everyone, I am back from the 4th of July holiday and hoping you are ready to get your Salsa on! I've been told about this great new place called Fusion that is now having a Friday night Salsa night. They are doing their grand opening on Friday, July 17th. That sounded like a great night to get you all together for some dancing. All the details are below and here http://www.meetup.com/denversalsa/calendar/10824819/
Please come check it out. I'll have some tables set aside for us so please come introduce yourself so we can hang out and dance!!
Hope to see you all there! Bridget
What: New Salsa Venue: Fusion! Come check it out opening night!
When: July 17,[masked]:00 PM
Where: Zaidys Fusion Deli Corner of 15th and Lawrence Denver, CO 80202
There has been a lot of new Salsa venues opening and, just as fast, closing. This one has potential and it's got a great special for opening night. $15 covers your cover charge, class charge and includes free drinks from 9-11pm!! Wow!! If you don't care about the free drinks then you can just pay the $5 cover for the class and dancing. Either way, this should be a fun night to check out.
"Fusion" aka "Zaidy's Fusion Deli" is what used to be known as "Zaidy's Deli" on the corner of 15th and Lawrence in downtown Denver. Parking in Writers Square is probably your best bet unless you get lucky and get a metered spot.
DJ Mambohood will be playing great music so get your dancing shoes, test out the new dance floor and meet some of your other Meetup members.
I hope to see you all there!
The Details: 9:00-9:30pm - Beg/Intermediate class taught by Joseph Snowhawk 9:30-1:30am - Open Dancing
Cost: $5 cover (for class and dancing) OR $15 opening night special which includes your cover charge, class and free drinks from 9-11pm.
My name is Scott Koogle and I am a local instructor deeply embedded in Denver's scene. I wanted to start this Meet Up so I can continue to help build a strong and commited Salsa community. We really have some great dancers but are always welcoming new people!
I'll be hosting events around town and keeping you all up to date on what's going on in Denver's Salsa scene. I can also introduce you not only to the city's best dancers but the nicest dancers. Dancers with attitude need not apply! :)
The goal? Have fun, learn to dance well, travel, dance some more, meet cool people, listen and learn more about Salsa music and history...and yes, dance some more.
