Competitive-Focused Indoor Friday Night Drop-in

Friday night is rated play... which means that it's completely tailored towards the high-end player.  You get a wrist band that displays your rated play level.  That means you are measured, categorized and labeled according to how you perform, and your right to play on certain courts is strictly determined by that rating.  NO EXCEPTIONS.  What this means is that you are showing up to compete, and if you don't get to play because you are not invited to play, or play very little, it's your fault because you didn't get what I am saying here.

Bottom line, as said by one of the players it's this kind of night:  "if you get your feelings or body hurt on Friday because feel you are entitled to play at a certain level and are shooed off and rejected or worse the words Molten get tattooed across your face it really is your own D**M fault."

With that said it's not that we won't play with you, it's just that Friday night is about competitive volleyball, not inclusion.... and with that said it's not a super elite crowd... well maybe on one and a half courts yes...  just you need to understand that the population is 50% green bands (a/open) 30% blue bands (BB) and 20% yellow bands (B/Strong Grass players) and 10% white (rec players).  (see the website to understand how we rate the players)  That 10% usually leaves very unhappy on Friday night.

Now,  don't despair:  Saturday Night is for more community-focused everyone-gets-to play lets-hookup-and-make-new-friends kum-ba-ya type volleyball.  Everyone is a white band on Saturday night.  It's always two on and off on two courts and we play "hook" on two courts  (like Gibby's is during the summer).  On Saturday night, competition takes a back seat to social inclusion and everyone getting along.  Saturday night also features booze and food.  This is the night you come to when you want the social mixer.  This is the night you come to learn to play and learn by osmosis through playing with better players than you.  This is where the normally rated green bands, if they show up, let their hair down, hang with the rest of the humans, and frolic happily across the courts holding hands in unison with all of mankind.  (Can't you just feel the connection-type love?)

Skyview (Rocky Select VBC) One King of the court and three two on and off courts. 6:30-11:30.

Admission is $6 per player cash only.
