Meet in the car park at Midday (this is a privately owned car park and you will need to pay to park your car).
We'll walk along the bank of the River Dove to Milldale, where we'll stop and have a drink and a bite to eat. There is a shop selling drinks and snacks or you can take your own.
We'll then walk back to Dovedale.
It is a 7 mile walk (round trip).
Dovedale in Derbyshire and the Peak District, is owned by the National Trust and is farmed with many sheep on the rocky slopes and in the woods. Dovedale's stepping stones appear on thousands of post cards and the area attracts a million visitors a year.
Sturdy footwear and appropriate clothing for the weather is advisable.
This event will be weather dependant.... and will be rescheduled if wet.
I have arranged a meeting point near to Derby City Centre where can meet up and then travel together and where we can also leave cars. The car park can get quite full on a nice day and it will also save on fuel and car parking costs if we can travel together. I will e-mail out details to those attending nearer the time.
If however you would prefer to make your own way there and meet at Dovedale, that's fine.
NB - this is Easter Saturday
