Mining Heritage Trail 9 mile Walk

Walk is with Coalville Ramblers for the National Forest Walking Festival. Walk is classed as moderate and is suitable for children and dogs. Meet no later than 9.45am as we will be start walking at 10am. Meet at Snibston carpark LE67 3LN grid reference SK 417 144. On the walk you learn about the colliery background and includes a visit to Hough Mill in Swannington. Bring a packed lunch. Walk finishes around 3pm. It is a free event.

    I am afraid I can no longer make this walk. My car has decided not to start and I so I cannot get there. I will leave the event in the calendar as it is a guided walk so you can still go along with other people - details below.

      I'm not sure as never been down that way but take some on safe side. I do think Sunday it should be free as the council havre organised the walks to try get people out walking. X
