Art and Architecture Trail

The Melbourne Art and Architecture Trail is an established highlight of South Derbyshire's cultural crown. It consists of easy walking loops around the central streets of Melbourne which can be started at any point. To enter the buildings a Trail Badge and Trail Guide is required which costs £5. In the main, visiting professional artists are being hosted in rooms made available in private houses, which are not usually open to the public. Most of the houses are of historic significance. All of the work on the Trail is original, for sale and the artist and makers all accompany their work and many demonstrate their skills. There will be paintings, photography, pottery, sculpture and jewellery, something for every taste and pocket, ranging from £5 to £5000 in price.  Approx 70 venues with nearly 100 artists.

The plan is to meet at 1030 and have a leisurely look round the Trail for a couple of hours and then stop off at one of the food courts, cafes or pubs for food and drink.

There are quite a few free car parks in Melbourne town centre and on-street parking but expect spaces to be limited.

We will meet up again at 1pm back at the food court.

    Hi
I live in Melbourne so will be there both days and helping on the Area Transitions stall pressing apples. So come and try some fresh Apple juice at the food court. If all the car parks in town are full the Infant school on Packhorse Road is opening it's car park for the weekend. I hope you all have a great time and maybe meet some of you at the stall.
