This is a circular walk starting and finishing at The Honeycomb Pub in Mickleover. The first few hundred yards only are in the "City" but after that you are in the countryside. It is a very pleasant walk passing through farmland, woodland and through the village of Radbourne. There are stiles and footbridges on this walk.
The walk is 4 miles and should take approximately 2 hours,
Sturdy footwear, appropriate clothing for the weather and something to drink are advisable. There are some small sections of the path that are close to water and can therefore get muddy. Please ensure you wear suitable footwear - pumps won't really do on this one :-)
You can park on Sandown Avenue, which is next to the pub (see photo below) or outside the shops across the road. Please don't park in the pub car park without asking permission from the landlord.
The Trentbarton bus "The Mickleover" stops outside the Pub. (The pub is about half way round the route, so it doesn't matter whether you catch the Blue or the Green route)
We will end up back at The Honeycomb, where we can enjoy a well earned shandy and for anyone who wants to stay on, we can also have a bite to eat:
Please note: This event is weather dependent and will be rescheduled if wet.
I will check the weather forecast on Friday evening and post an update
