Bike ride Pride Park to Worthington along the route 6 cycle path

Ride from Pride Park stadium heading along cycle route 6, which goes through Alvaston, Chellaston, Swarkestone and continues to Worthington. It is a nice route, generally flat, mainly cycle path but a short distance on the canal path. Approximately 12 miles each way. The cleanest one of us could pop in Starbucks when we get back to get takeaway coffees and cake, think we will deserve it !

Hi Robert the trail is mainly fine shale and reasonably smooth, but the section along the canal can get a bit muddy in places. I will be using a road focused hybrid and that will be fine, but would not recommend a road bike. hope this helps
