The Enchantment of Everyday Things

Speaker: Presented by Dave Merrill, Co-Founder of Sifteo

Price: $15 for early birds, $20 for regular

Whenever an everyday object gets reinvented by Software, an industry is overturned, another is born, and we gain amazing new capabilities. The desktop computer reinvented the desk, smartphones reinvented telephones, and tablets reinvented books. This talk will examine how Sifteo Cubes reinvent everyday blocks to enrich the lives of kids and families with tactile interactive play experiences, and how recent conditions are nurturing a new wave of hardware startups building uniquely physical interactive products.

Dave Merrill is President and Co-founder of Sifteo. He is an expert in cutting-edge human-computer interaction, producing multiple award-winning interfaces and technologies changing how people play and work with technology. Dave and his work have been featured at TED, MoMA, the Discovery Channel, Popular Science, New York Times, and Wired.

Hoping we ( in mvp)can meet a ui/ux designer who knows someone somewhere with good ui/ux skills available from ANYwhere USA, PT ok, even adviser ok, who is aching to make a huge positive diff in the world to help us with a redesign. Great lemons to lemonade opp (for anyone who's been touched by divorce)

How early do you have to be to be an early bird - thought a couple of days before? Seems like I missed the worm.
