In this talk, you'll learn what typography is, why it matters and the key features of good typography. You’ll learn to see typography with a critical eye so that you can make better choices about it in your own work, whether your final design is on screen, on paper or both. Recent legibility studies have shown that when type is set well, it not only improves reading comprehension, it also improves the mood of the reader! Designers and entrepreneurs are realizing more and more how much typography matters to their brand, their customers and their success.
Carolina de Bartolo has taught typography and design history for more than a decade and is the author and creator of the popular typography textbook, Explorations in Typography: Mastering the Art of Fine Typesetting and its companion app.

was disappointed with the presentation actually. it was super basic, i guess i was looking for solid examples, pitfalls and advice vs. a textbook overview which I bet people need to have if they care enough to pay and show up at a typography presentation
