Surveillance vs. Privacy in the Digital World, Part I

Notes

• This meeting is hosted by Occupy Natick.

• Note the location is in Natick, MA.

• Everyone is welcome.

Meeting Description

Let's join our friends at Occupy Natick for their monthly movie and discussion night, including free snacks.  This is part of their "What Went Wrong" series.  The movie screened will be the short film Naked Citizens.

Plus, Zak Rogoff of the Free Software Foundation, will give us an overview and update on their Protect Yourself from Government Surveillance campaign.  Expect a lively discussion along with actionable information on how you can protect yourself on your own computer, the Internet, and beyond.

Transportation & Parking

Park on the east end of the town parking lot.  Enter the lot on Church St.

Location is within walking distance from the Natick commuter rail, but timing might be tricky.  Check train schedules.

I have room in my car for two more people if you can meet me in Watertown Sq or Newton Corner.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
