I think my expectations were to high for this event. Having never been to Old World Village, either, I don't think I knew it was going to be squashed in a little portion. Got there about 1pm. Bought raffle tickets and was told the raffle would take place at 2:15pm. It was so crowded my mom and I ate at a nearby German restaurant (where I could also get some vegetarian food). As we were sitting there we heard, around 1:30pm, raffle tickets being read. Myself and some other doggy parents who wanted to get away from the crowd were very upset by this. I know the moneys for a good cause, but that was very rude. If you're going to read raffle tickets off for the whole event, don't say there's going to be a time when it's happening. As for the Easter egg treat hunt, I agree, people were greedy. A guy grabbed a silver egg right out from under me and was digging around in the bushes like an idiot. I know you meant well, but I was very saddened by it. Too crowded. Makes me think twice.

Game with our dog as a dog event. for the record between my friends and their dogs that came, the most each eggs we got were 2 and 3 egg per dog and a couple dogs got none.

      March 27

    • Ingrid

my two would never have found any eggs on ther own, so I thought it was OK for me to look. The certificate is on it's way to you.

Stephen & Brandi: You sent me an email re: my inquiry about making a fenced in piece of land here into a dog park, but my computer sent it to 'I don't know where it is' land.
Could you contact me again so I can tell you what I had in mind?

As with any event we've held, we appreciate the follow-up feedback. In the end, it'll help make the next one a better overall experience. Thank you for your continued concerns, comments, and recommendations.

Leo, I found out info for you regarding the CGC test, there would be some modifications for a blind/deaf dog. Please contact me directly at [masked] and I can explain over the phone..much easier than typing a huge letter back and forth...thanks so much

Anyone that wants to have your dog do the Canine Good Citizen test at this event will get a special discount at $20. Let me know

Denise...I did not see that you asked if it was too late to sign up because I was already at the event, however, you could have come up to my table and I would have done the test for you. If you would still like to do the cgc test, please contact me on my cell phone instead of through this website, its much easier to respond or on my personal email. Thanks so much

Thanks so much to all the Paws that came out to join us this weekend at the DOGTV k-9 Spring Fling & Easter Egg Hunt and to Stephen, Brandi and Leo from DPOC that helped us put all this together. Our vendor partners were great, we were able to find 4 rescue dogs homes and Intelligent Agility had a great time with all the dogs! I have posted more photos on our DOGTV Facebook site at:

    https://www.facebook.com/tv4dogs...

I hope you will follow us on Facebook and learn more about DOGTV, see all our great friends from all over the world and attend future DOGTV events.

    Happy Spring everyone!

I saw the Easter Egg Hunt on Dogtv Facebook, so I came out. I have to say I never knew there were so many dog owners around who are as active with their dogs like me and this club exists. It was a great time. I wanted to thank dogtv for doing this. I found two eggs and I met some really nice people and their dogs. Must have been expensive to rent the festival hall and beer garden. Can't believe that it was free. My uncle had a birthday party there and I know how much that party cost his wife. So thanks! I can't wait for more fun stuff to do. Thanks again and we'll see you at something else soon I hope. Jake from Dogtv, he was so cute in his outfit. Woof! Woof!

Veronica, glad you had a good time. There are lots of events in the Dog Club each year. Yes, DOGTV was amazing for putting this event together. It was incredible of them for doing this.

I forgot to mention....Intelligent Agility rocks!!! The instructors are awesome!!!

    3 · March 24

  • Brenda

Sad that people have to argue about all this....it was supposed to be fun for the dogs! I do have a suggestion. Rather than have a gold & silver egg, why not hide the prizes in normal colored eggs, so that no one will know which egg it is in. It was fun, a lot of work went into the planning of it. We didn't win anything, and that is OK. We had a few hours out with our dog & got to see friends & meet new people & dogs. Isn't THAT what it should be about?

    4 · March 24

  • Rayanne

It is such a shame when people don't treat other people with the respect that they deserve, unless their actions or words prove otherwise. And we as humans are teaching dogs how to behave?

Well, all I know is that I had a great time, even though I couldn't find the "registration" area where the organizers were supposed to be. I would like to continue our conversation about a possible site I've scoped out for a dog park in Orange. COULD YOU PLEASE GET BACK TO ME ABOUT THAT? Thanks.

    1 · March 24

  • Stephen & Brandi Terry

We apologize if you didn't find an Easter Egg. Brandi, Leo, A.J. and I worked really hard to get the 800 Easter Eggs out there in the Village. Unfortunately some people took perhaps more than their fair share. Next time we'll have twice as many eggs at the event.

    1 · March 23

    • Jen and Nana

Thanks Stephen and Brandi for a great event. We brought out friends and their paws and participated in the egg hunt and agility course. Unfortunately, I have to agree, there were a lot of greedy people with the eggs and the event was for the dogs.

      March 24

    • Jen and Nana

My boyfriend was so upset because our dog had her nose ON the golden egg and I am pregnant following behind and was walking up to take pictures and some other lady who's dog was in another bush, not even near the group of eggs, heard my boyfriend say our dog found the egg, and she reached down and grabbed the egg right under Nana's nose. I was confused when I walked up. This was upsetting to us and our friends who did see many eggs out there but we only took one out of each pile and let our dog find the eggs. We walked by another pile of eggs but if our dog didn't see it, we didn't take out of that pile. My boyfriend did tell the lady that grabbed the egg that the event is for dogs and not for humans but it's a shame people don't care. We wanted to report the issue but there really does need to be rules placed out so this does not spoil the fun for people/dogs who are in it for good sportsmanship and above all, for our dogs.

  • ANNETTE PALMER

was fun, but the egg hunt was no so great, they had eggs in groups so not everyone got treats for their dogs since it was a case of greed on a lot of peoples parts. this is supposed to be about the dogs and not how greedy the owners can be with the egg hunt. Not Steve or Brandy's fault but there needs to be rules on this next year to limit how many eggs each person gets so that all dogs get treats in the end.

    3 · March 23

    • Stephen & Brandi Terry

Ingrid there is a all points bulletin out on you for taking all the eggs...Hehe.. Just kidding. Congrats on finding the Golden Egg Ingrid. I really thought I hid that one well.

Fabulous event! The Easter eggs weren't the issue. People who love their fur kids and want to be around others who do also made this event a success! And trying to find good homes for dogs needing adoption were the important issues. Good job guys....

Drove all the way to the beach and never found old world village, by the time I finally discovered the way by accident my pup was already tired and whining in the back seat and the event was over- turn to be a not so fun day for us.

We wish there had been a few more rescues or shelters there, but I understand why there weren't due to space.
I wish there had been a few more companies here but appreciated the ones that were.
