It was an amazing time and lots of fun to see the entire family out together for Halloween. Special thanks to the City of Fountain Valley, the sponsors, vendors, exhibitors and volunteers who made this event possible. Next year bigger and better already talking with the City to have a spooky Halloween Maze and some other fun things too. Thank you all for coming.

I understand that it's public, Stephen. That's why I encourage you to put up a sign or something to draw peoples' attention to where to sit together. Otherwise, how will we get to meet other members of the PAWS? I've attended similar events and left without speaking even to ONE fellow member. How would we recognize each other? Name tags, perhaps???? I'd like to meet other PAWS and sit with them, if possible. Thanks for all your efforts!

We understand and appreciate your concerns. We are in the process of fixing it at the Large Public Events the Dog Club Organizes, Runs and Hosts in the future. Please check your email for information shortly on how you can donate your time and volunteer at these large events to help make this correction. Thank You!

It was really fun to dress Chloe out and see her friends from the Dog Resort Spa. Like a reunion! Stephen and Brandi did such a great job, and is so passionate about dogs and their owners experiences with our poochies! Unfortunately, Chloe wasn't feeling well, probably too much sun and we missed the costume contest, but got to see some really great costumes on the dogs! People are so creative and there are so many cute dogs! Thanks to all the vendors! You really made it fun to meet all of you!

Hi all, this event is open to the public. The Dog Club has created this event, organized this event and is hosting this event. The City of Fountain Valley has been extremely kind in allowing and assisting in Dog-Friendly Activities like this one and like Summerfest Dog Day Afternoon this past June to occur. Since Brandi, Leo, Patricia, Keisha and myself are running this entire event for everyone the best place to meet other members out of the crowd is probably at the Stage near the info booth which we will be at. Additionally, look for Connie or David Martinez as they will be attending as well. We apologize if you thought this was a Club only event, it's Not, the Entire Southern California Community has been invited and is more than welcome to participate. The More the Merrier! See you all there! It's going to be tons of fun!

Tons of fun! Looking foreari to seeing all the cute doggie costumes!

      October 20, 2012

  • Leo Sarmiento

We completed most of our prep for "Howling Halloween in the Park" late this afternoon at Fountain Valley's Recreation Center and Sport Park (Brookhurst & Heil). Tomorrow, Sunday, October 21, at noon, marks the start of our event!!!

Even with the cooler weather (including "morning" drizzle) in the forecast, our "afternoon" event (12pm - 5pm) is definitely a "GO". The cooler fall temperatures will make it more comfortable for everyone...especially for those of you in costume.

For our event to be successful, we need you to PLEASE COME OUT AND HAVE A GREAT TIME!!! We hope to see all of you, humans and paws alike, tomorrow afternoon....

It looks like perfect weather for our event on Sunday: partly cloudy in the low 70s. So bring your PAWS and let's PAWTY! Who's going to win that beautiful diamond pendant?

Check out this $1,750.00 Reason you need to be at Howling Halloween in the Park this Sunday. Brandi and I just picked it up and it's gorgeous. Good ideas! Sometimes, though, in these large venues, it's hard to see a banner unless it's huge and/or brightly colored. I hope all the other PAW parents will similarly look for the banner and try to sit as close as possible to it so we can get to know one another and our beloved doggies!!

    1 · October 18, 2012

  • marilyn

Kim, I think you raise a great point. In past such meetups with PAWS, it's often hard to figure out who's a member and who's just someone out for a walk with his dog. Stephen, can you post a sign or some other way people will know where to meet?

    October 17, 2012

  • FunkyKim

Is there A meeting spot for the pet parents?

    October 17, 2012

What is the vendor fee? Entry point at the pk?
    thanks
    Jim

    October 15, 2012

    • Stephen & Brandi Terry

The entrance to the park is at Brookhurst and Heil Ave. As for vendors we aren't excepting anymore vendors as the venue is full to capacity. If you would like to be a vendor for future events like Dog Day Afternoon coming up this next June, please email Brandi and I. Thank You.

Hi there; We are looking forward to to meeting you all & attending this Event! ;)

*Anyone have any idea what TIME the Costume Contest will be held at??*

    -Caity V

    October 3, 2012

    • Stephen & Brandi Terry

Registration begins at Noon and ends approximately 2:45. So after the Journey the Wolf Dog Ambassador's Presentation there will be a parade of costume contest participants through the event, at which time the judges will narrow down the contestants and announce the finalists. After that, the winners will be selected by audience applause. So if you make it to the finals the more noise the crowd makes for your costume the better. So, just a suggestion have a super cute costume to make it to the finals and bring a bunch of people with you to cheer you on and make noise.

Howling Halloween in the Park is growing! Share it with your friends and tell them to be there, it's going to be great. Huge announcement about an awesome prize valued at $1,500.00 next week. Seriously, everyone is going to love this one. Stay Tuned.

It's official one of the games for the Paws is the "Black Cat Eating Contest" and no it's not what you think, but you will have to come out and find out... Hope to see you there!
