Welcome! The Puppy Mill Awareness Meetup is working to end the mass production of dogs in commercial kennels ("puppy mills"). We are a local group in Southeast Michigan focused on educating the public about pet store puppies, lobbying for stronger laws and promoting adoption as the first option!
Petland’s national spokeswoman says that she doesn’t think their side of this story is being fairly represented. But several attempts have been made to talk to the owners of both of the local Petland stores. They have refused to do an on-camera interview with The Investigators.

3) Encourage pet stores to become "Pet Friendly" and not sell animals. http://www.stoppuppymills.org/puppy_friendly_pet_stores.h...![]()
