Implementing OOP

Object Oriented Programming is a popular programming paradigm in software development. The mechanics of OOP can be confusing for those who are unfamiliar with its implementation. This presentation will teach you how to navigate OOP code and write your own classes. Examples will be given in both PHP and Ruby.

Very interesting. It was my first meetup meeting. I was wondering what your view or the groups view is on object modelling tools.

Even on my largest project we never felt the need to maintain an object model outside of the code itself once we had moved beyond some whiteboard sketches. The code is truth and separate models either quickly become out of date or the tool enforces its own concepts on your project. Practice good organization and naming and you won't need one.

Brad that is interesting. How do you validate your tests with non-programming groups?
