Reminder: DevOps Melbourne First Meetup tonight 6.30pm

Hi folks,

Here's a reminder that the first DevOps Melbourne meetup is on tonight at the Apartment (401 Little Bourke St).  The venue will be open from 5.30, so please feel free to come down a little earlier and grab a refreshment and use the opportunity to meet some other folks interested in DevOps.

We'll kick off at 6.30pm SHARP with a presentation by Ashley Dall from REA on "Kanban in Operations".

Ash is a long time geek, medium time SysAdmin and short time manager keen on finding better ways of working. He currently manages the Site Operations team of one of Australia's largest websites and will be sharing his thoughts on what kanban is, how you might use it in Operations and why it might suck or give your team a new way to kick goals

Following this presentation we'll invite a small posse of folk from the development and operations team at Lonely Planet to speak about their experience with implementing Continuous Deployment - and it's impact on the relationship and collaboration between the development and operations teams.

Hope to see you at the Apartment tonight!

cheers, Evan.
