On May 31st another large asteroid will pass close to earth. This one will miss us by 3.6 million miles, this time. With our attention focused on climate change are we ignoring a much more serious threat to planet earth? The theory is the dinosaurs were wiped out by a huge asteroid strike. The general solution to climate change is de-industrialization - doing away with the very industries needed to build the rockets and space vehicles to defend our planet from these rogue rocks. Might we be saving Mother Earth from the equivalent of a stuffy nose only to leave her exposed to being shot by an assault rifle?
