It was a little quieter than usual, but the momentum is still there. I talked to some new people, so they will stick with us. Encouraged them to go online and donate whatever they can.

Some of the news lately must have caused some fall off in persons attending. Hopefully this week-end primaries gives us great news to gain members back. Everyone at meet-up ready to do our part.

More ideas for slogans we came up with: USE THEM:
We need to stress uniting the country through a positive message, again, Bush can not run on his record on the Budget. It's the budget! Kerry can not switch and steal our thunder again, if our thunder is: DR.DEAN, HELP AMERICA HEAL!

    DR. DEAN, BALANCE!

    DR. DEAN, TEACH, HEAL, BALANCE!

    DR. DEAN, DO NO HARM!

DR. DEAN: WHERE DOES IT HURT?

    DR.DEAN: MAKE IT BETTER!

We don't need Dr. Dean making inspiring speeches in front of enthusiastic crowds, as much as we need to see Dr. Dean as a benevolent, caring, Healer!! Let's use this campaign to advance more positive ways to help our country, and, help this debate turn to what is actually going to get done, now that they've adopted our rhetoric. No one can touch us on domestic issues so let's push our strength. Let the others hang themselves with this special interest stuff. For once let us see more than speeches. Lets see Dean at community events, helping kids, what he's done in his community, brainstorm here people! Please let's start using the media as a tool. Let's start seeing Doctors from the communities we're campaigning meet with Dean. Teachers, Youth. That is the way to turn this thing around. Let's always have the Dr. before the Dean!! They can't touch that. OK? Ted

PS: Here is another catchy slogan: Hey Yo! It's the budget! Yo!

I met real people wanting to make a real change in our government. The people who came were mostly there for the first time. They came because of the same reason I did, they like what Howard Dean has to say. He gives us hope.

By far the best meetup I've been to so far. Everyone had a place to sit close together and conversation flowed easily from table to table.

This was the first time I have ever participated in a political movement. I was reluctent to go at first but when I left, the only regret I had was that I didn't go to a Dean Meet-Up earlier. We all have the understanding of the significance of this upcoming election in relation to the fate of our countries freedom and democracy! It's now or never!

Small turnout of loyal Dean supporters. We discussed where to go from here and are going to meet on 3/3 regardless of what happens in the upcoming primaries.

It was very good exchange, very open forum with lots of enthusiasm for the coming Visibility Days this Saturday and especially for the Democratic caucuses this Sunday.

The postcards arer easier than the letters, and probably just as meaningful. The organizer, Jess, has a terrific agenda introducing all those who wanted to be delgates. It was good to have the delegate election process explained. One of the best meetup yet. Thank you.

My first meetup. My first political meeting in decades. Didn't know what to expect. Liked the broad range of ages there. Appreciated the update on the campaign strategy, the video played (the new ad, interview with his wife in Iowa). His wife is amazing! His secret weapon! Better use her now while you can. The host and hostess were nice and obviously not professionals yet, but that seems to be a part of Dean's appeal, that he empowers people to do for themselves, even if they aren't professional politicians. In other words, this felt very grassroots. A man came by near the end who seemed professional, Charles R. Krimes, and he really animated the meeting. He went through all the charges against Dean and gave rebuttals. People really wanted to know how to counter the arguments against Dean without being argumentative. Some (most?) people thought the electability issue was Republican-generated, and I agree. Why not an ad about that?
