Then you'll want to see the Roy Zimmerman concert this Saturday, February 23, at 7:30 PM at Acoustic Music San Diego, 4650 Mansfield Street in the Normal Heights area.

George Varga of the Union Tribune lists Zimmerman's concert among this week's*** "Essentials".***Carl Manster, our Impeachment Guy, and Pam Hoye***, our Rollin' Activist, agree. They are gearing up for an evening of fun and laughter.
biggrin
Roy Zimmerman has been writing satirical songs for over 20 years. wink

His newest show, ?Faulty Intelligence? follows the tradition of sweeping social commentary, lambasting not only the ?faulty intelligence? which led us to war in Iraq, but the greater lapses that have inflamed the culture and class wars. His engaging melodies and wickedly inventive rhymes are infectious . Tackling the driving forces behind war, poverty, ignorance, bigotry, neo-conservatism, homophobia, greed, lust, and fear, it seems that no contemporary issue escapes his insightful wit.

Zimmerman?s show is constantly mutating as new evidence of faulty intelligence comes to light. One new song trumpets the news that ?Ted Haggard is Completely Heterosexual.? Another imagines George Bush out on a date with Iraq. ?I?ll Pull Out,? he promises. Nothing cuts through bullshit like sharply crafted humor. Singer/songwriter, Roy Zimmerman appears to have mastered the art, whose fans include Tom Lehrer and Joni Mitchell. Joni Mitchell is quoted as saying, "Roy's lyrics move beyond poetry and achieve perfection."
