Dear Liz,
I don't think we know each other, but I can sure sympathize with you as in the
past I went through times when I was unemployed.   What kind of job are you
looking for?  This is my email; email me and I'll be on the lookout for you when
I know what jobs you are looking for.  Cordially Margaret Momparler

Dear Liz,
I am so very sorry for your bad luck.  I am proud that you are able to hang on! And, I hope a number of members read your message.  And, someone will be able to get their enthusiasm up and go to the rally.  The Bigger the rally the better the buzz and media!  Maybe, someone will also be able to help you up in some small way.  You're terrific!  I know it is hard to feel terrific.  But, you are!!! Hang in there.  Oh, how old are you, and, what part of town to you live in?  NOW ~ GO PROTEST THE HECK OUT OF IT!  If the media is there go up and talk to them.  You are very articulate and passionate,  and just what the media is looking for... GO SCREAM YOUR HEAD OFF!  Carol Changus, Organizer of San Diego DFA. [address removed] (858)[masked]

I will be there.  I just told two of my friends and I will tell more.  We have all been unemployed for anywhere from 1 1/2 years to over 2 years.  I see no relief in sight.  I AM SO READY TO PROTEST.  In two months I will be homeless if I don't find at least part-time work.  I get $95.00 a month in food stamps.  My unemployment pays my rent with $6 left.  My friend buys my bus pass.  I get clothes from a church organization and extra food.  I AM SO TIRED.  I AM SO READY TO PROTEST.    Liz

Jobless/underemployed/employed & Showing Solidarity Monday is LABOR DAY & GROCERY WORKERS from UFCW 135 will RALLY at RALPH'S and MARCH OVER! PS:  The other 364 days of the year are CEO day -- which is the ratio of CEO to Worker pay.

Join hundreds of your fellow San Diegans ? many of them unemployed ? for a Rally for the Jobless.

The rally is being held on Labor Day ? of all days, Monday, September 5th.  It will be at noon at Horton Plaza Park between 3rd and 4th Avenues in downtown San Diego.
This event is being hosted by MoveOn San Diego and the Rebuild the American Dream movement.

Confirmed speakers include Congressman Bob Filner ? who of course is running for San Diego?s mayor, Labor Council head Lorena Gonzalez, Lori Saldana who is running against Brian Bilbray for Congress,  and Floyd Morrow ? a long-time local activist and  former city councilman. They will be joined at this informal rally by local activists Gregg Robinson, Frank Gormlie and Jeeni Criscenzo del Rio.

Timed for noon to 1:30 pm, the event will be a demonstration for jobs.

Local grocery workers ? not yet on strike ? are having a rally that morning at the downtown Ralphs and plan on marching over to the Rally around the noon hour.

Everyone is asked to bring their signs, banners, flags and spirit to demand jobs and no more cuts to the social safety net.
