Thanks for all you do!! It is "who wrote the original." former English Teacher, Margaret
PS: My brother speaks 5 languages and is a retired school teacher and I'm still kidding
him about his past tense verbs....hope you are not offended.
Is this a nutty year for Republican candidates!!? Gingrich and his "poor kids can clean toilets
because they don't know anything about hard work!" "Just fire the adult union janitors and
replace them with poor kids." Whatever happened to child labor laws?

Subject: [dfa-23] SB 810 (Single Payer Healthcare) Killed on the California Senate Floor (Let's THANK Sen Mark Leno & California OneCare)
Thanks for your MANY phone calls to Sen Vargas and others, on getting SB 810 passed by the Senate.
Hold your heads up high: our own Sen Chris Kehoe voted YES, and former Senator Sheila Kuehl (who had wrote original SB 840 single payer) and Sen Mark Leno (Current sponsor of SB 810) worked their tails off pushing this through now that there is a Democratic Governor who might sign the bill.
Thanks to Democratic Party platform and resolutions writers who have made "Support for a Publicly Funded, Privately Delivered, Single Payer Health Care System in California" part of our CDP party DNA -- in 2010 and draft 2012 platform.
If you go to the CDP Convention in San Diego on Feb 10-12, please find and thank Senators Leno, Kehoe, Lieu, and others who voted AYE on this bill. http://cademconvention.org/convention-information/event-schedule/
Never hurts to drop a penny in the cap of the good guys: ActBlue.com
You may also wish to locate the Senators who voted no, or failed to vote AYE, and talk to them, too.
See best explanation so far, below.
