Now is no time to ease up! We must keep the momentum going within the State as well as in the nation. These are exciting times for shaping the future. Elections are only one part of active citizenship. From the ideological perspective, becoming a CDP delegate is another way to help realize progressive visions. From a practical perspective, being a delegate offers a closer look and insight into party politics. Both views are useful.

Progressives and Advocates
If you wish to vote for new Assembly Delegates, or run for delegate (file at least 12 days prior) the caucuses are being convened the weekend of Jan 10th & 11th. I believe that David Little is convening the 75th Assembly District caucus in Poway.
I have not found information on the process, but since December/January time moves on a special clock, I wanted to send an email alert NOW to those wishing to form or endorse a progressive slate of delegates in the 74th-79th Assembly districts, so that they can think about it, talk to friends, create supportive coalitions, and GET THEIR SUPPORTERS TO COME TO CAUCUS TO VOTE.
Please contact the State Dem Party for official information:
The SD county Democratic Party website calendar does not yet show dates, locations -- see Jan 10/11 for updates
Why do this? the Power of Progressive Delegates revealed -- by becoming a delegate, you can shape the agenda and endorse progressive values, independently-thinking candidates.
My story -- A number of progressive delegates to the State Convention voted to endorse my 53rd district Congressional candidacy at the State Convention -- Carl Manaster, Pam Hoye, Greg Bolian, Lynn Sandoval, the Littles, just to name a few-- who together brought in 29% of the total delegate votes for Mike Copass -- ( I had hoped for 10%! ) -- I was honored, and humbled, by the strong public support.
If you have previously been a delegate and "know the ropes' please contact me,[masked] so that I can properly inform the PDA chapter.
