Dear FILNER-FANS,

In order that we dont end up with Mayor DeMaio, I am getting off my butt and making phone calls for Bob Filner for Mayor. I did this once already -- great script, easy calls, fast, fun and there are cookies and drinks. Join other Progressive Dems and Democracy For America members to phone for Bob at his new North City HQ, next Wednesday April 25th, a week from tomorrow.

Date Wednesday April 25th Time: 5:30pm - 7:30pm

I dont have any more $$ to give, after donating about $50 to Bob so far, but, every phone call that connects with a voter is worth (estimate) $5 or maybe more -- based on my own campaign experience. RSVP to me.

If we can get 10 volunteers, I am going to lobby Filner for Mayor staff for PIZZA.

New 51st & 52nd Congressional Districts!

ON SUNDAY APRIL 29th at 2:00-3:00PM the of the San Diego County Delegate Elections for the

" New 51st & 52nd " will be held on Sunday, April 29th, for Democratic National Convention

Where: Machinist Union Hall 5150 Kearny Mesa RD, San Diego.

Thanks to Gail Mackler For this Information. GAIL MACKLER is an official candidate for District-Level Delegate pledged to support President Obama in Congressional District 52.

Don't Forget to VOTE for GAIL & All San Diego DFA Members and PDA Members as well.

STEPS TO VOTE FOR A DELGATE:

Make sure to check www.cadem.org/delegate2012 for caucus locations and a list of approved candidates. Please double check your name to ensure it¹s listed correctly on the website. Although the ballots have been created, if we hear from you prior to 10:00am on Friday, April 20 that your name is incorrect, we will make every attempt possible to include your corrected name on new ballots.

The next step is to organize your supporters to attend the Caucus on April 29, 2012 and vote for you. Remember, your supporters must be registered Democrats in your congressional district. If you aren¹t sure of the boundaries, use the Berkeley IGS Statewide Database map online at http://swdb.berkeley.....

Shortly after registration closes the Caucus will begin. Candidates may then give 30-60 second speeches, depending on the number of candidates. After the speeches, all remaining ballots will be cast and the votes will be tallied. Rankings will be announced at the end of the Caucus. The top vote getters for each gender will be slated to the Delegate and Alternate positions allocated to your district. Districts holding multiple Caucuses due to geographic size may not have results until both caucuses have tallied the votes.
Registration will be from 2:00pm to 3:00pm. When you register, you will receive your ballot. You must be in line by 3:00pm to be eligible to receive a ballot. Once a voter receives a ballot, they may cast their ballot and leave.

If you have any questions regarding the Delegate Selection Process, please visit www.cadem.org/delegate2012 or email delegate2012@cadem.org.

Sincerely,
CDP Staff

Join *THE HUMAN WAVE* in Mission Beach on Saturday, May 5, 2012 10:30AM – 12:30 PM

Dear friends,

Join THE HUMAN WAVE in Mission Beach on Saturday, May 5, 2012 10:30AM – 12:30 PM
To highlight coastal flooding and other major projected impacts of climate change in San Diego County
San Diegans will form a human wave in Mission Beach on Saturday, May 5th to connect the dots between extreme weather, our use of fossil fuels, and climate change impacts projected for our region.

By 2050, rising sea levels combined with more powerful storms will mean regular flooding of our coastal communities, causing irreparable damage to our beaches, coastal homes, businesses and recreational facilities, our tourist industry, and our unique plants and wildlife. In most of Mission Beach streets will flood at high tide and storm surges will inundate homes, streets and businesses (map of anticipated flooding in Mission Beach by 2050, from San Diego Foundation 2050 Climate Change Report, is here).

Other anticipated impacts in San Diego include water shortages and more frequent and intense wildfires

The San Diego May 5 event is among thousands that will occur around the country and the world, as communities everywhere connect the dots between fossil fuel use and the impacts of extreme weather, already wreaking havoc around the world through flooding, fires, hurricanes, and droughts.

How to participate:

1. RSVP today GO TO: http://sandiego350.or...
2. Join/like/share on facebook GO TO :https://www.facebook....
3. Download a flyer GO TO: http://sandiego350.or...
4. Help us get the word out! Forward this email to friends, family, and coworkers
5. Be at Mission Beach on May 5 wearing blue.
I look forward to seeing you there!
