***MON 19 NOV at 7:30PM   The Play is titled " 8 " This time, “8” producers have recruit *NSYNC’s Lance Bass and S.D. politicians Jerry Sanders and Todd Gloria to take part in its Nov. 19 event at Birch North Park Theatre.  The play, which has logged 300 performances across the country over two years, highlights the successful legal challenge to California’s Proposition 8 ban on same-sex marriage.  Councilman Gloria will portray U.S. District Chief Judge Vaughn Walker, and Sanders will join a post-show panel with “8” playwright Dustin Lance Black. Sanders’ daughter, Lisa, who is openly gay, plays the role of court clerk. It’s a case of “art imitating life.” Sanders actually appeared in court to testify against Prop. 8 during a federal hearing in the case in January of 2010.
