Trust me, you don't want to miss this...

Eden J.
68 people-powered progressives have RSVP'd "Yes," "No," or "Maybe" for Wednesday's Oakland DFA Meetup and East Bay for Democracy Presidential Potpourri.

Will you?

Still undecided?...

A virtual three-way tie between Obama, Clinton and Edwards in Iowa, with Richardson and Kucinich making waves.

Representatives of each of the candidates list above.

A Presidential straw poll and a special East Bay for Democracy endorsement vote.

"Which Republican presidential candidate scares you the most?"

A retro-"Dean for America" action item that harkens back to the founding of our DFA Meetup.

Video of what happened when East Bay for Democracy's censure resolution against Senator Dianne Feinstein came before the California Democratic Party executive board meeting a few weeks ago.

All that and our traditional "raffle" grand prize -- Michael Moore's "SiCKO" on DVD.

Spread the word. T-minus 34 hours to our "Presidential Potpourri" Meetup. So we can order enough pizza...

Hi DFA Meetuppers -

We've been working diligently to make Wednesday's Oakland DFA Meetup as compelling as possible. And we hope you think it is:

A PRESIDENTIAL POTPOURRI: Clinton, Edwards, Kucinich, Obama, and Richardson

At our April Oakland DFA Meetup, we had such a huge success with our own local activists sharing their personal views on presidential candidates we are having an ENCORE. They gave us fantastic reasons to consider the entire democratic field. After months pondering our choices, it's time to make a decision.

At this special Meetup, we'll be hearing from local organizers and supporters for (in alphabetical order) Hillary Clinton, John Edwards, Dennis Kucinich, Barack Obama and Bill Richardson.

These organizers want to tell you why they think their candidate is the person who can win in 2008 and wake our country up from its right-wing nightmare. And you'll get to ask them questions and talk with your fellow DFA Meetuppers about their answers.

Then we'll take a special straw poll of Oakland DFA Meetup members and East Bay for Democracy members to determine if our community can unite around a potential progressive President.

All that and much more...
