Introduction

Hello, I am new to the Dallas area coming here for a job opportunity and want to get to meet folks who love to hike and rock climb. I am an avid mountaineer but recently took up rock climbing a couple of years ago.

If you are an experienced climber, how long have you been climbing?

A couple of years.. Never led but want to learn

Where have you climbed before?

I have climbed the flatirons in Boulder Colorado as well as Shelf road (sports climbing) and a few other areas around Denver

What type of climbing have you tried?

Both Trad and Sports. I have my own meetup group called RockyMountainMadness which is mostly focused on climbing Colorado Mountains.

What other outdoor activities do you like?

hiking, biking, and anything outdoors.

When is your Birthday? (Month and Day)

  • This Saturday I plan on climbing Mt Democrat, Mt Cameron and Mt Lincoln. Mt Bross is reportedly off-limits to climbers.
14ers.com summit weather forecast is sunny, with a high near 42. Breezy, with a west wind 11 to 14 mph increasing to between 21 and 24 mph. Winds could gust as high as 39 mph. Will watch this and adjust as needed. Call me if needed [masked]
Total elevation gain looks to be about 3400' with about 7.5 miles covered.

  • Good morning,
Am hoping for a very successful outing for the group and myself.
Towards that end, I would like to discuss gear and the fitness/ability expectation. Can you call me at [masked]?

PS: Have been wanting to go on outings with this group for quite some time.

  • Leonard, will you set up a meeting for me man!? Weston Peak to Royal Mtn. 2 14ers, 24 13ers and 8 12ers. 38 miles, about 17k ft ascending and 20k descending. For nearly 27 miles (Weston peak to Peak 10) you never dip below 13k feet. The reason I would like it posted is A) its badass B) its badass :) C) I need people to help me out with resupply so I may be able to recruit someone from the site. Thanks a ton man! I would like to do it this weekend.
