Join us for a portrait lighting class! This class will be a learning and a hands on class. You will learn how to shoot portraits and headshots using 1, 2, and 3 studio stobes. We will also teach you how to take portraits using speedlights (your camera mounted flashes).

I will have a male and female model their for you to shoot with each type of light set up. I'll post the models pictures here soon.

The location of this class will be at a studio near 1-35 and Walnut Hill in Dallas.

Admission is $75 in advance (RSVP by Thursday June 4th), or $99 at the door.

Thanks to everyone who came out to this class, thanks as well to Jeremy, Brad, Gordon (Gus), and Julia. I really want to thank Julia for doing that great Marilyn Monroe imitation! Seriously, thank you all who attended and I hope you learned some useful things. Please let me know anything I can do to make the class better.

@Danny I have seen other classes in the area that run much more then this also. I have been to a few of Darryl's events and have always felt is was worth the dollar amount. If it was not for another event this weekend, I would have used my kitchen pass for this.

This will be my first meetup...I am excited to learn what you have to offer. As anyone who has tried studio lighting DIY, it is REAL hard to get it to work for you.

This will be my first time with this group and I'm looking forward to it! I need help with my studio lighting. Any idea how long the workshop will be or what time it will end? Thanks Scott.

Danny, I offer classes in a well equiped studio, I use paid models for my classes, and I offer leanring in a hands on environment with myself taking the time to personally assist and mentor those that attend. I know there are cheaper classes, I have never sought to be the cheapeast class in town. I do seek to be the best value in town however. Thank you for your comments though.

Why are these meetups so expensive vs. all the others in the area?

This is going to be a great class for those who have not or do not know what it takes to do Portrait Photography. 1, 2, and 3 light solutions. This will be a fun class to attend!
