Photography 201: Building a Speedlight Studio

Eric-Leuthardt-Photography[masked]Eric Leuthardt Photography presents Photography 201: Building a Speedlight Studio

This class will teach the basics of building your own Strobist (off-camera flash) studio as an alternative to using studio lights. This is a hands on class where you will be shooting a model and I will present three different lighting setups, all using umbrellas and speed lights. The techniques you learn in class will allow you to set up your own studio anywhere.

This class is part of a series on Speedlight photography, so be sure to keep an eye out for the other classes - you can take one or take them all.

This class will last approximately 2 hours.

Registration is $59 in advance or $79 at the door and is limited to the first 15 photographers. You can make your registration payment online or email me to make other arrangements.

Great class, We started with equipment basics and moved on to shooting several lighting setups. The class was very interactive. Eric is a great teacher. The model was both beautiful and great to work with. Highly recommended.

Eric..I just purchased an off-camera flash and not yet familiar with all its functions. Do you have a 101 class, or Is this the class I should attend?

The way we numbered our classes, all speedlight classes are a 201 class. I can't say if this is the exact class you need, it depends more on what you want to learn. If you are wanting to shoot people with multiple off camera flash in a controlled environment, then this is an excellent class for you. If you are more interested in using your flash outdoors I offer both day and night versions of that portrait class. Regardless, all classes I teach with speedlights will cover how to use them manually off camera so that the brand and model you use does not matter.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
