Photography 101: Outdoor Portrait & Headshot Lighting Made Easy

This is a hands on class designed to teach you the basics of outdoor portrait and headshot lighting. This is a basic outdoor lighting class.  We teach you how to get great outdoor portraits without using any special equipment.  Topics covered will include:

  • Equipment Needed
  • Outdoor Lighting Techniques
  • Using a scrim
  • Using a reflector
  • Helpful posing suggestions
  • & More!

Make sure to bring your cameras as a model will be present and you will have the opportunity to photograph the model using the basic lighting set ups to help reinforce the material being taught.

This class will last approximately 2 hours.

Registration is $49 in advance and is limited to the first 15 photographers. You can make your registration payment online or email me to make other arrangements.

    Darryl, will bring the 24-70, thanks, I don't like twiddling with settings on the cam and speedlight on location, maybe you could tell me how to set these in advance for this class so I can pay more attention to what is actually going on IN the class, don't want to be sifting thru 400 menus when I could be taking notes, Nikon D700, ISO 200 baseline and mostly I shoot App priority. . .

      Well this is the basic class and we work with natural light, so we won't be using the speedlights. But I'll be happy to help with any settings. That is what this is for.
