Studio & Home Studio Series: PORTRAITS!

Welcome to our series on Studio and Home Studio classes. This series is for the photographers that want to learn about setting up a studio, whether they wish to set up a permanent studio, or a temporary one that set up and take down in their home.

We are currently offering three topics in this series. It is not necessary that you sign up for all classes, you can simply choose the class that you are most interested in. The classes in our curriculum thus far will be:

Equipment

Portrait Photography

Key Lighting - High Key, Low Key, & Chroma Key

This weeks topic is:

PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHY

Ready to start shooting high quality images and start your portfolio?

This class agenda will be all about portraits!

Posing your subject

Composition or your portrait

Lighting the portrait with one light

Lighting the portrait with multiple lights

Tips to "Fix" those not so perfect looking subjects

and much more!

We will be photographing a model for this class, so  you will not only learn, you'll leave with images to use in your portfolio.  Registration is limited and the cost to register is $49.

Hope to see you there!

Darryl, you were going to provide contact information for Megan so we could send her links to our photos should she actually want any of them. If you've sent it, I missed it.

I was just looking through my shots and thought that it would have been interesting if Megan had removed her sweater so that so that she would have had a black top against a black background. How would you get separation in that case?

I would take one of the lights and place it directly behind her, about shoulder high and let it provide the seperation.

Darryl, Great workshop. I learned a great deal and thoroughly enjoyed the class. Are you going to email Meaghan's contact info so I can send her some images? Thanks.

I am really wanting to do this, but I would most likely miss out on a lot of information if I can't be there at 7, right? I wish I did not always work when these great classes are going on.

Hey Kim, You would miss some stuff, but you can still pick up on some great info.

Darryl, I'd like to do this one. Will you still do it if I'm the only one to register? I'll have to pay this one at the door.

Hey Scott, sorry for the delay but we have plenty to do the class. I usually always do them anyways, even if I just have one person.

I wish I could get there at seven that I do not get off of work until 715. 745 would be the earliest I could get there.
