I have the original Canon Rebel w/70-300 zoom w/macro and a 28-80 zoom w/macro, Canon speedlight 420ex. My latest baby is a Nikon D5100 with 18-55 and 55-300. I do not have a dedicated Nikon flash yet, however I have several manual flashes and wireless triggers, currently I can fire up to 3 flashes wirelessly in manual mode. I also have a Minolta Maxxum 5000 film camera with several lenses which I never use anymore. Update 2015: I now mostly just shoot Sony, I bought an a6000 last year and fell in love with it and just recently picked up an a7ii full frame. As far as Sony lenses go I have a 16-50 an[masked] and a 28-70, my old Tamron[masked] also works with the LEA-4 Sony adapter. I use the Phottix flashes and triggers with the Sony's. Last year I also picked up a Paul C. Buff Einstein studio strobe and it's Awesome.
Adobe Photoshop CC, Lightroom 5 and my newest favorite Phase One Capture One 8 pro (this one blows lightroom out of the water as far as image quality is concerned).
Hobby, but would like to turn it into a cash generating hobby.
I like it all as long as the subject is interesting and pleasing to my eyes.
I used to enjoy taking pictures of the Dallas skyline, however now days they have no trespassing signs everywhere along the trinity river bottom and the only legal shooting position is a bad angle and has the new jail right smack in the middle blocking the view.
Single father 48 years young. My son is 15. I have been an off and on fairly advanced amateur photographer since my teen years. My father has always been into photography and it naturally rubbed off on me.
