I've been shooting for a long time. More recently though I've become very interested in wildlife and bird photography and I've been traveling to a lot of the national parks to photography.
I'm not really into equipment. I think it's what you create and not what you're using that is important. But right now I'm using: Nikon D100 (and will be upgrading soon because I need something a little faster to photography birds), Sigma 150-500mm, Sigma 28-80, Sigma 70-300, and a Manfrotto tripod with a Opteka Gimbal head.
Photoshop CS5 and Adobe Lightroom on the PC
It has always been a 'serious hobby' because I work in a different field. But I have so many images now that I'm thinking that it would be good to try to sell them.

Welcome Robin to the Dallas Target & Action Shooters Group!
Oh, awesome, Robin.
I like what you're doing. And I also share your opinion about corporations.
Your probably familiar with Holmgren, but here's a link to an interview you may not have seen yet: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OFjFG2...![]()

What he says about competition as an adaptive response to our unprecedented (and one-time) economic growth is related to the success of the corporate, authoritarian way of doing business.
I hope to meet you someday.
Hello Robin, thanks for joining the group!
I just found your group, and can't believe others like me exist here in Collin County. Sorry I missed your last meeting, as I'm a big Thomas Frank fan. Anyway, see you at the next meeting. Thanks for your existence!
Hi Robin. Just found out you live in Plano. I'd like to see if a similar group can be formed here. Please ping me back to talk about it. Thanks, did get a lot out of today's meeting, despite the technical problems with the presentation.
