Introduction
Hi, I'm Steve a serious amature wanting to meet others. My passion is B&W of everyday people doing whatever they do but caught in moments of time expressing their passion, joy, desperation, anger, or even fear. I've had two solo shows in Tokyo.
What camera(s) and equipment (i.e. lenses) do you use?
Last year I donated my good Nikon 35mm film camera to the CCCC photography school and just purchased my first digital SLR (to utilize all those wonderful Nikon lenses collected over the past 10 years). But for my type of photography a small hi-end point and shoot Canon allows me to be more discreet.
What photo manipulation program(s) do you use? (i.e. Adobe Lightroom; Photoshop CS5 for PC or Mac)
Corel Paint Shop Pro for PC
Is photography a hobby or profession?
Hobby but with a goal of becoming more widely recognized.
What types of photography do you enjoy (i.e. nature; artistic; portraits; landscapes; macro; etc...)
Journalistic street shots of people in their everyday routine doing whatever they do with passion, frustration and disappointment.
Do you have a favorite place/event that you like taking pictures of? If yes, feel free to explain.
Tokyo, Mexico, Bali in the market place, on the street or at gatherings and especially at night or special times. Perhaps here in Texas I'd like to work on local events such as rodeos, athletic events or outdoor gathings.
