Introduction

Hi everyone, I have been doing photography for two (four) years now but I am self taught so I am not very good at it. I am looking for opportunities to get together with others and learn some things

What camera(s) and equipment (i.e. lenses) do you use?

I have a Canon 5D Mark II with the kit lense and a Sigma 70-200 telephoto lens and just got a nifty fifty which I really like except for all the manual zooming I have to do.

What photo manipulation program(s) do you use? (i.e. Adobe Lightroom; Photoshop CS5 for PC or Mac)

Is photography a hobby or profession?

It's a hobby, thankfully. I would starve otherwise

What types of photography do you enjoy (i.e. nature; artistic; portraits; landscapes; macro; etc...)

Since I am not so good at getting my settings just right (but I'm getting better) I prefer landscape pictures. So they don't move While I am shooting.

Do you have a favorite place/event that you like taking pictures of? If yes, feel free to explain.

Wepa!! Welcome Steven to Sofrito! In just a couple of days we have reached over a dozen boricuas in the DFW metroplex! That’s impressive because it signifies the need for us to come together and celebrate our culture. We have a set a goal of 50 members at a minimum in order to organize our first meetup. The interests are mutual…food, culture, meeting other “boricuas”, dance, etc… Stay tuned! Spread the word!
