Wow, February is such a short month. It seems like we just started February but were almost to the middle of it already. The Photography club has a lot of events coming up so here is a brief rundown of them:
THINGS TO DO:
We are having a dinner meeting next Tuesday night at Hard Eight BBQ in Coppell. Come out and meet some folks and socialize.
We have a Walk-A-Bout scheduled for Sunday Feb. 16th with some lovely models. This is a fantastic opportunity to get some great images for your portfolio and practice your outdoor shooting skills. And our location is one of my favorites, the Ft. Worth Stockyards!
We have all kinds of classes to offer you in February Starting tomorrow, I am teaching a Studio/Home Studio Portrait Class. The lovely model for tomorrow's class is Sivan (Pictured below outdoors). So come learn about portrait lighting and walk away with some beautiful portraits for your portfolio.
Next Monday, Feb. 10th I will teach a Basic Camera and Photography Class, Photo 101. Perfect for anyone starting out or needing a refresher. I also teach a Photo 102 class the following week.
Want to start a studio using portable and economical speedlights? Eric is teaching a Building a Speedlight Studio class on Tuesday Feb. 18th. And you can also learn to use Speelights for taking portraits by signing up for Eric's Portable Portraits for the Practical Speedlighter class on Tuesday, Feb. 25th.
If working with natural light is more your thing, I am teaching a Outdoor Portrait Lighting Made Easy class on Saturday, February 22nd.
And finally, I always have requests and questions about photography software and Adobe Lightroom. My Adobe Lightroom series class starts this month on Thursday, Feb. 13th.
So take a look at your calendars, find a class or event that you are interested in, and hope to see you there! Have a GREAT WEEKEND!
