Hi Tim, I must ask, is that a backdrop or is that a real location? I love the picture

Thanks Mary! I shot the fairy in front of a "chocolate" backdrop... not expecting to do any compositing, or I'd have used a gray seemless or white rather than chocolate. I then took a few images from the photo session and cut them out, composited them over some stock landscape images, color balanced to match and there you have it! Initial processing of foreground in Lightroom. Retouch, relighting, matte and composite, color balance and some light beam matching all done in Photoshop. Cheers! Tim

Thank you Mary. I've been at it for a while... 15+yrs with Photoshop and several years as a hobbyist photographer, then semi-pro for a few, now professional. Keep at it and read, study, shoot, evaluate, learn, study and shoot some more! You'll get there! Also take time to study styles and photographers who's work you find inspiring. Figure out what they've done with lighting, aperture & lens, composition, etc. There are also many fine workshops and training videos on YouTube for virtually any genre and experience level. Best to you!
