TOPIC: Integrating Wordpress into Social Media You've heard about all the Social Media sites, and all the good things you can do with them. You're ready to start using Social Media, but where do you start? And how do you integrate your main web site and your blog into your social media strategy? This presentation will give you the nuts-and-bolts of integrating your web site with each of the major social media sites (and several others you may not have thought of). WordPress-built web sites will be the focus, but the principles apply to all types of web sites and all types of businesses.

Dr. Cecala laid out the reasons why one would utilize WordPress as a marketing tool prior to presenting information about this social medium. This was my first introduction to WordPress and I now realize I must devote a bit more time as I develop my blog. I wasn't sure which blog tool to use but this meeting sealed my decision to use WordPress. The networking is also a great advantage at the meetings!

I got an overview of Wordpress, and its features and use, which is what I needed to know.
The presentation was to the point and the speaker was good.

Tony rang true on the real point and value of using social media marketing in conjunction with WordPress. Often we forget that there are real people on the other side of the screen. Tony brought solid perspective on why we should be using social media and how we can use it to communicate with our audience in a way that's important to them.

I thought Dr. Cecala did an excellent job of giving us the background behind the "why" of what you are doing so that you can maintain focus as you integrate social media. People will be delighted to spend time with you if you have a passionate continuous thought with your own special twist. Although I consider myself well versed in WordPress he showed me a plugin I had not yet used. I'm installing that plugin today. Thanks Dr. Cecala :-)

I was way lost. Everyone in attendance is far more advanced than I am and I was out of place. I need something much more basic before tackling this again.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
