Dear WordPress Rockstar,
Give your readers the ability to "friend" and message each other -- imagine -- a social network of your very own. It's now possible with BuddyPress, a powerful plugin for WordPress.
This month, Michael J. Pratt presents Introduction to BuddyPress: Social Networking in a Box. Learn how to build a social network for your company, school, sports team or niche community all based on the power and flexibility of WordPress.
Michael is contributor to the BuddyPress core code and BuddyPress.org. He ran BuddyPress Unconferences at WordCampNY. Michael has been involved with BuddyPress since code was first committed to the repo and launched a BuddyPress-driven community Bugle Notes for West Point Alumni and Cadets since BuddyPress was in alpha.
Michael has been a WordPress developer since 2004. Sites to his credit include: Style Observer and GiftGirl.
Michael recently moved to Dallas from NY. While in NY he co-founded Cofounded one of its largest MeetUps: Fashion 2.0 He runs a Statistical Arbitrage Hedge Fund by day and can be found at MikePratt.tv and @mikepratt
