Post Health Datapalooza Happy Hour w/ ePatient Dave and 6 digital health leaders

  • Jun 6, 2012 · 5:00 PM
  • RFD

Whether you are planning to attend HDI or you will be unable to attend, we invite all members of the dHealth DC community to join us for drink and food and good conversation at RFD (a short walk from the convention center) immediately following day two of the sold out HDI/Health DataPalooza! The networking begins at 5 with activities and presentations ramping up around 6.

After two days of jam packed sessions, we have purposefully chosen not to torture you with more PowerPoint driven presentations. Instead, as part of the Happy Hour event, starting at 6PM we will have 6-8 very short (2-3 minute) rapid fire presentations (with no slides) from your fellow members of the dHealth DC community that will be attending HDI. Each of the presenters will give you a quick overview of what they saw at HDI, what they liked and why they liked it, with a focus on showcasing solutions that are engaging and have the potential to deliver real results. We are also fortunate to have “e-Patient Dave” deBronkart to help kick the event off and to wrap up the presentations. A full list of presenters for the event with bios will include:

Session Moderator - “e-Patient Dave” deBronkart, is the leading spokesperson for the e-Patient movement–Empowered, Engaged, Equipped, Enabled. A high tech executive and online community leader for many years, he was diagnosed in 2007 with Stage IV kidney cancer, with median survival 24 weeks. He used the internet every way possible to partner with his care team; today he is well. His first book on healthcare is “Laugh, Sing and Eat Like a Pig.”

If you are interested in following the action, we encourage you to monitor the hashtag #dHealthDC throughout Health Innovation Week, starting with  Health Camp DC all the way through HDI.

It is my understanding that HDI is now sold out. If you have extra tickets and want to get rid of them, let me know as I am happy to broadcast it to the larger dHealth community.

In addition, there are a limited number of tickets available for Health Camp on Monday. To learn more and register, you can visit the site at

Look forward to seeing many of you at Health Camp, HDI and dHealth DC!

It was a great de-brief after the conference - with each of the speakers being allowed only 3 mins each we had a good overview of popular items and could catch up with them afterwards for focused conversation.
