The JOBs Act of 2012 is already having a major impact on generating more IPOs. What do average investors need to know to find high quality late stage investments? How to avoid risks and still achieve solid double digit returns? What is fueling the growing number of IPOs? What’s hot and what’s not? The presenters are experienced venture capitalists and have been involved with utilizing JOBs Act legislation to raise capital for firms and will share their insights on how investors can achieve high returns.
Based in Silicon Valley, Paul Getty is a Managing Director of Satwik Ventures, an advisory and investment firm focusing on late stage companies who are utilizing JOBs Act legislation to raise growth capital. The Satwik Ventures team has invested in 45 firms that have resulted in over $1 Billion in exits via IPOs and acquisitions. Paul also co-founded First Guardian Group (FGG) in 2003, a real estate investment and management firm focusing on the development, selection, and management of over $800 million of commercial real estate offerings. His prior operating experience spans over 25 years as a serial entrepreneur and executive officer in firms that resulted in investor returns of over $700 million through multiple successful IPOs and M&As. Paul is also a co-author of Regulation A+: A New Way to Raise Funds for Emerging Growth Companies, to be published later this year by Apress Publishing. Paul holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Michigan, graduating with honors, and a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry. He also completed post graduate studies in physics and electrical engineering. He is a licensed real estate broker and is currently completing a FINRA Series 79 license.
Along with Paul Getty, Dinesh Gupta is a Managing Director of Satwik Ventures. Dinesh acts as the firm’s underwriting director and also serves on select Boards of several of the firm’s investment companies. Dinesh also is co-founder of First Guardian Group, a real estate investment and management firm managing over $800 million of commercial real estate investments. He was a founding member of TiE, an international organization that promotes entrepreneurship in the Indian community and that attracts many top executives from as members. Dinesh is also a co-author of Regulation A+: A New Way to Raise Funds for Emerging Growth Companies, to be published later this year by Apress Publishing. Dinesh also held several senior positions with Raychem/Tyco for over 20 years where he led worldwide M&A activity. He holds an MBA in Marketing and Finance from the Santa Clara University, CA, and a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from University of Delhi, India. Dinesh also holds a real estate license in California.

The presenter, Sandy Goldman, has been researching crowdfunding for the past year and most recently presented at the Silicon Valley Crowdfunding Conference and Expo, the first of its kind dedicated to the business of crowdfunding. He has been involved with numerous startups and held executive marketing positions at The Trump Institute, SkyMall and Turner Broadcasting System. At the end of the presentation he will share what led him to start America’s Crowdfunding.

Sandy Goldman is the founder, CEO and Director of America’s Crowdfunding, Inc. and has over 25 years of experience guiding business development, branding, and marketing initiatives. He founded Blue Ocean Marketing, LLC to help startups from concept through execution for consumer product companies. Previously he was a partner with On The Ball marketing and sales agency helping clients develop their branding and licensing strategy. Corporate roles have included VP-Global Marketing for uSell where he managed the production and media placement of short-form infomercials and Executive Director of Marketing for The Trump Institute managing their long-form infomercial campaigns. Earlier in his career he held senior management positions at SkyMall, Turner Broadcasting System and Actmedia. Sandy graduated from the University of Maryland- University College with a B.S. degree in accounting.
