Eye the City 2013 (Black and White Street Photography)

  • Dec 31, 2012 · 12:00 AM

Eye the City is the annual photo walkabout done by a group of photography enthusiasts to share love of photography through archiving of photos of Singapore on the last day of each year. The photo was compiled as a book and was kept in the National Library in previous years but this year it will be purely online.

I have helped as moderator and group judge for them before and will continue to support them this year. However I am doing this two fold.

One is to allow SPIN/SDP photographers to share their photos first, get some critique and then choose the 3 photos before submission. Submission details are as below

https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.3606092891561.114109.1850840978&type=1

I will also set up a folder in SPIN just to share the photos. I will also give my own steps when it comes to black and white conversion. So this will be a black and white street photography event for 31 Dec 2012. If you are committed, please note as comment below. We can do it either individually or as a group.

Hi james, you can choose your own location for this event. There is no restrictions where the picture can be taken except that it has to be taken within Singapore.

One can do it alone or as a group. I am still mulling over where to shoot. I usually will think through the significant events in Singapore and then document them on the last day as a way of remembrance.
