I've done many small documentaries, one on my mothers breast cancer and a few others on small personal matters. I would like to get my hands on helping out with bigger projects, learn more about film techniques and prepare me for my own independent film project.
School wise I have been filming and interested in film for 7 years. I took film classes in highschool and some pre college classes in philadelphia and New York. At first I wasn't sure what I wanted to do with my life so my first year of college I was a liberal arts major studying Criminology and Sociology. I later realized that I actually was more interested in the truth of the justice system and could never work in a field, in which I fully agreed with. After my first year I shopped around for film schools, in order to pursue my artist passion and love of film. From there I started to attend University of the Arts. I started out in the screenwriting department but shortly switched when I fell in love with documentary film and investigative journalism. After taking a few simple film classes I immediately took to documentary and became anxious to start shooting my own.
I am interested in anything that will grab someone's attention, maybe wake them up or change their perspective. I have a lot of opinions and view points about the reality of our world and the lost stories that need to be told. I would love to meet people with the same ambitions.
I am currently a student going back to school at University of the Arts in Philadelphia to study documentary film and communications. I am 24 years old and I am currently looking for a new outlet to start inspiring my creativity. :)
