Hi, Joann!

Sorry for the delay in replying.  Its been very hectic for me the past few days.

I will be able to meet any time that is convenient for you.  My preference is to meet earlier and be done before it gets very busy at Starbucks.

As far as my area of preference, I would be interested in general PA, lighting PA, or camera PA.  I have done some slating, so if you need assistance with that I could help there as well.  If you need help in other area, I could try to jump in wherever I am needed.

Looking forward to meeting you next Saturday!

Thanks and best!

Deneen

Hi Deneen,

We will be meeting at Starbucks.  The date is Sat. Nov. 12th as previously e-mailed.  The address is 347 South Street.  There is NOT ANY convenient accessible parking; so pack up your coins for street parking unless there is a parking garage you find and you may need to walk a bit.

The positive side to meeting here is that the manager is arranging the area upstairs for us to meet; so we will be sitting in a circle to create an easy flow for conversation.  I need to inform the manager what time in the a.m. we are meeting because by 12:00; they become very busy. I don't want to interfere with their patrons business.  I told him I would let him know by Sat.  So, please let me know what time you prefer; 10:00 a.m., 10:30 a.m. or 11:00 a.m.   We don't have to leave by 12:00, but we need to be situated before that time.

Also, please e-email me back your speciality or area of interest so I can pass out a list for everyone to know each other's area of interest or experience.

Please e-mail me as soon as you know what time is best for you to meet.

Take the best care,

Joann Reisman                      SpiritOfHorses

Hi, Joanne.

My name is Deneen Barnes.  I am new to this group as well!

I don't have much filmmaking experience myself, but I am anxious to work on shorts as well and to build my portfolio.  I would like to be considered as a crew member in any capacity (PA, 1st AD, etc.).

I attended Filmtech, an independent film school in Philadelphia, last year.  I haven't had a lot of opportunities to work on very much.  I did PA/grip work on a feature film in January called Errand Boys (a KPhat production).  I also worked on a commercial as a PA.  I have very good organization and interpersonal skills and would love a chance to meet with you.  Also, for the past year, I have worked on putting together a production group called Philly Features.  The group has been put on hold for a little while, but I was responsible for recruiting and helped with the organization of the group.

Attached is my resume and links to some of the projects I have worked on.

Please feel free to call or email me.  My cell phone is[masked]-6570.

Best regards,

Deneen Barnes

Subject: [digitalvideo-78] Seeking a filmmaker or video professional

Hello everyone,

I am new to this group.  I need a filmmaker or video professional.

I have begun to form a team of creative artists (many with various levels of experience) to use their talent to make exceptional short movies to be entered into festivals such as Tribeca, Philly festivals, etc. to WIN and eventually make feature movies. There is no budget or a paycheck. (At least not yet). What you come away with is a movie that you contributed your film/video talent and can use this on your 'resume.'  I am starting out (I have no experience) and have learned this is the best way; for me. I am looking closely to find a filmmaker or video professional; because filming is the groundwork upon which the rest of the movie is built. If you have experience with lighting; that would most welcome along with editing, producing the film, directing and sound. However, I am open to to hearing from you even if you are new to the field or at whatever level of experience you have.
